You may be wondering, why is this blog so ugly now? Well, here’s a little background on why it used to look ugly, then it looked kinda cool, then I woke up and erased everything and made it ugly again and now we’re here.

I started this blog in 2009 as a refuge from writing about dental insurance all day. I needed a home for the silly ideas that kept me sane and hopeful.

A couple years later, those silly ideas helped me land a gig at MTV News in NYC – something I would have never dreamed of before and to be honest, something I didn’t really dream of until the offer email came through. After a year of tweeting to completely sane Beliebers from @MTVNews, I made the switch to Madison Ave. to approach social from a different angle. This brings us present.

Oh yeah, so why is this site so ugly right now? Well, most readers are RSS or email subscribers, so I’m holding out for proof of a renewed commitment before I pay someone to make it pretty. Fair enough, right?
