Help Haiti Blog Challenge: Let's Do This

by Jenny McCoy on January 19, 2010

One of my favorite writers, Kelly Diels, has launched  a great campaign to help raise money for the Haiti Relief Fund: The Help Haiti Blog Challenge.

I don’t have a deep pocket, but here’s what I am offering: I’ll donate 50% of income from freelance projects through the end of January to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.

Here’s a little more about what I can write for you. I just had a man request content for a website meant to allure potential women to marry him, so the limits of what I’ll do to raise money are very, very gray and ambiguous.

I don’t have 50 years of experience, so my prices are very reasonable. But don’t worry, this is not like a discount stripper.

Don’t want copy? Here’s another offer (please forget the discount stripper as you read on).

You pick something insanely embarrassing (yet still legal and not a threat to my employment) and as long as there is at least $50 on the table to be donated, I will do it.

Ideas?

I’d really rather write some copy for your menu or press release, but if you’ll collectively pay >$50, I’ll do whatever you want. Hell, I might even donate myself to boost it over the minimum requirement if it sounds entertaining enough.
