“Today we’re going to talk about imaginary numbers.”
This was the turning point in my career as a resistant math student.
Because for the next year or so, I got most of my test answers from the smart kids around me. I was not a cheater all around during these school years. Only when faced with questions whose answers required a comprehension of ‘imaginary’ numbers.
Imaginary numbers were the beginning of my desire to finish all math courses required for success as quickly as possible. Even today the concept is still lost on me. Despite my straight A’s that year, ‘imaginary’ numbers are forever lodged in the vault of misunderstanding, along with moles and other silly things that “I will never use.”
Because I’m so crafty, and slightly addicted to visuals, I made a little bell curve to illustrate the peak of my mathematics confusion.

Didn’t I see this graph two days ago?
Also, when posting the graph, keep the height/width ratio the same…
Yep, get used to it. I’m a lazy ass.
